Working on a website embed at a laptop — the plugin-first model Web4Realty sells

Web4Realty and BrokerFold both answer “how do I get MLS listings on my website,” but they answer it at different layers. Web4Realty’s core product is an IDX component you drop into a site you already have — WordPress, Wix, GoDaddy, Squarespace — with a light CRM behind it. BrokerFold is the site: a board-fed platform where search, VOW sold-price data, and the CRM are one system. That layer difference, more than any feature row, is what you are choosing between.

What Web4Realty does well

Accessible entry and honest modularity. Their published tiers are IDX Starter at $39/mo (IDX plugins for any website, lead capture, a basic CRM), IDX Pro at $79/mo (pipeline and deal management, dynamic contact lists), and Growth at $149/mo (a full hosted website with theme options and a drag-and-drop editor) — no contracts, with a stated 30-day refund window after the trial and MLS pass-through fees billed separately. The trial needs no credit card and setup is pitched at under 15 minutes. The Canadian footprint is real: their TRREB page claims 1,500+ TRREB members and 3,000+ agents across Canada, and they maintain CREA-oriented IDX material. A 4.8/5 rating across 600+ Google reviews, per their homepage, suggests the support experience holds up.

Who Web4Realty genuinely suits

Agents who already have a website they like and want listings embedded in it at the lowest workable cost. If your brand lives on a WordPress or Wix site you control, a $39–$79 plugin tier that adds search and captures registrants is a rational, reversible purchase. It also suits brand-new agents who need something presentable this month and are not ready to fund a platform.

What BrokerFold does differently

We build the destination rather than the widget. A BrokerFold tenant site serves the full board feed natively — on TRREB that is a live PropTx feed in production, minutes-fresh, with first-party image hosting and a completeness gate hiding half-loaded listings. The conversion engine is sold data: VOW search behind a registration wall with blurred previews and the 90-day password expiry TRREB requires, all automated. Registration lands in a CRM that is part of the same system — behaviour timeline on every contact, seat routing with claim and round-robin, nurture plans, Gmail sync, and on-site visitor messaging. Pricing is published CAD: $89 to $999 monthly by scale, 5 seats included on the Team tier and 12 on Brokerage, 14-day trial with no card. Sold-data VOW search does not feature in Web4Realty’s public materials; for us it is the product’s centre of gravity.

If you switch

Moving from an embed to a platform inverts the work. Your existing site’s pages need recreating in the new editor — budget an afternoon and carry a URL map with 301 redirects for anything with search equity. Your board paperwork is re-filed under the new vendor, which takes human-approval time. Export your Web4Realty contact list with whatever activity history the export carries before the account closes. And if what you actually want is to keep WordPress and improve the embed, read the honest version of that path on IDX for WordPress first — switching layers is only worth it when the destination model fits your business.

Frequently asked questions

Is Web4Realty cheaper than BrokerFold?

At list price, yes: their tiers run $39, $79, and $149 monthly against our $89 CAD entry plan. But their pricing page notes MLS pass-through fees billed on top, and the tiers meter what you get — the $39 tier is an IDX plugin with a basic CRM, not a full site. Compare the configuration you would actually run before calling either cheaper.

Does Web4Realty support Canadian boards?

Yes — a TRREB-specific page on their site claims more than 1,500 TRREB members and over 3,000 agents across Canada, and they publish CREA-focused IDX material. Confirm the exact feed and fees for your board with them directly, since MLS pass-through charges vary by system.

Can I trial both platforms properly?

Partially. Web4Realty's trial requires no credit card, but their site states trial accounts cannot send emails, connect a custom domain, or connect an MLS feed — so you are testing the interface, not the product. BrokerFold's 14-day card-free trial runs the real platform, which is worth weighting if you decide by trying.
