Getting started
Importing contacts from your old CRM
CSV import from Follow Up Boss, KVCore, LionDesk, BoomTown, Google, or Outlook — what maps and what to check.
Your existing contacts don't stay behind. BrokerFold's importer handles the four CRM exports we see most, plus generic Google and Outlook CSVs.
Export from your current tool
- Follow Up Boss — Settings → Account → Export all data
- KVCore — Contacts → Export to CSV (all filters cleared)
- LionDesk — Contacts → Actions → Export to Excel
- BoomTown — Admin → Data Export → Request contact export
What BrokerFold imports
We preserve the fields you'd expect — name, email, phones, tags, source, pipeline stage, notes, and custom fields. Deal history from Follow Up Boss and BoomTown imports as activity timeline entries.
What to double-check
- Opt-in status on each contact — we import the current state but you're responsible for CASL compliance going forward
- Tag consolidation — similar tags (e.g. 'buyer' and 'buyers') can be merged during import
- Pipeline-stage mapping — your old stages get mapped to BrokerFold defaults; you can rename them after import
